About Fons Català de Cooperació al Desenvolupament
The Fons Català de Cooperació al Desenvolupament (Catalan Fund for Development Cooperation) is an organization, created in 1986, made up of 310 town councils and other supralocal bodies, which allocate part of their budget to finance actions for Development Cooperation and International Solidarity. With these contributions, throusands of cooperation and solidarity projects have been carried out and hundreds of humanitarian emergencies have been responded to around the world. The FCCD has experience in participating in EU calls. Currently, we are partners in 2 EU-funded projects, under the AMIF fund. Likewise, we have formulated diverse project proposals for diverse EU funds, among which Ventana ADELANTE-2 and DEAR Programme. Lastly, we are promoting the TAIEX instrument among our municipalities.

Project 1
- Promoting a Triangular Technical Cooperation scheme among Municipalities from 3 different Countries to share expertise, tools and strategies to mitigate climate change within cities; and particularly GreenHouse Gases Emissions; among Technicians from Public Administrations in 3 countries.
Project 2
- Promote awareness-raising campaigns among citizens and public administrations in Europe on the value of water and the importance of preserving water and make a fair and sustainable consumption.
Project 3
- Promote the economic empowerment of women in Senegal through the provision of tools and strategies to promote agriculture within their territories and financial management tools.
