About Asociatia SNRB
The National Battery Recycling System Association (SNRB) is a non-governmental and non-profit organization, established in 2010. Our mission is to take responsibility for manufacturers and importers of batteries and accumulators in order to organize a high-performance collection and recycling system of waste batteries and accumulators (DBA).

Project 1
- Up-scaling climate actions in Romania trough advisory boards at local and regional level The project aims to enhance the sustainability of the initiatives of SNRB, initiatives that have exceeded the circle of educational units and created the premises for the development of advisory committees at municipalities or counties level that will raise the efficiency of both educational and local efforts. This project aims to act as a turntable for common initiatives both from schools and local authorities and to create a movement toward a climate neutral school network trough implementation, empowering and enforcing of the advisory committees . The project will create a link between school units and their educational needs and the local authorities and administrative issues in order to promote a climate neutral approach focused on education and green procurement and local development. "
Project 2
- ReCreate - Reshaping creativity for environment The project aims to enhance the sustainability by generating roadmaps for municipalities in order to increase the use of climate friendly methods for existing and new buildings, especially for the big consumers (hospitals, schools) with the possibility to extend the principles also to households. The project will combine the know-how of the Romanian authorities and the needs from other authorities (like Serbian, Molfavian, Ukrainian, etc) , extend the energy efficient models used in Romania, and adapt them based on the synergies between the countries. This project aims to act as a turntable for common initiatives for the Balkan countries and to provide directions, models and projects for refurbishing, building and adjusting the buildings in order to open the path toward climate neutral buildings. The project will have also a strong educational mission trough user guides and trainings for the building users and local authorities representatives,that will raise the efficiency and insure the project sustainability.
Project 3
- Learning centre for local authorities on climate protection issues The project aims to enhance the municipal development of the Romanian Municipalities and to promote European integration in the fields of climate protection and energy efficiency by increasing the skill base and capacities of local authorities targeted on circular economy, climate and energy policies at local level. The project aims to enable public engagement in the energy transition, developing interface capacities within public authorities to engage with civil society. It will initiate a learning program for city managers targeting the capacity building on the topics: climate policies, energy efficiency, green procurement, green sustainable local development. The project aims to create a training program with a modular curriculum based on a detailed analysis of the aspects related to the implementation of EU policies. The program will include trainings on the above- mentioned topics, regional and national conferences, study visit and on-line sharing platform.
